A Costly Misstep: Wrong Tool Selection in Revenue Teams ????

Choosing the wrong tool can be particularly costly for young revenue teams, both in terms of cost and velocity. Especially among startups, I often notice a tendency to underestimate the significance of tool selection.

In my view, a critical misstep! But why?

Wrong tools not only foster inefficiency due to duplicate work in an unguided environment but also incur extensive costs. Unhappy employees lead to a higher turnover rate, and poor data hinders decision-making, impeding progress.

The idea for my new podcast series ‘Beyond Revenue - Narratives of Revenue Leaders’ stemmed from enriching conversations I had over the last few months with various CROs. I personally noticed a diverse range of backgrounds and different levels of experience, revealing a lack of benchmarking regarding the general role of a CRO. These discussions not only broadened my understanding of the CRO role but also sparked a thought: Why not expand this conversation, dive deeper with the experts themselves, and share these insights with you all?

Each episode, a compact 20-30 minutes, takes you on a journey to an exciting startup or scaleup. We'll explore the highs and lows of their business alongside their CROs - whether at the beginning of their career or already seasoned pros. We’ll delve into the nitty-gritty of what they do, trace their experiences on the ascent, and exchange views on what truly drives a company’s success.
