Returning full of optimism

I have been visiting Sri Lanka for almost a month. Tonight, it is time to return. This was the first visit in over a year. It has been both necessary and nice to see how well Sri Lanka has adapted to the reception of tourists and others due to the severe pandemic. My assessment is that Swedish and Nordic tourists with full vaccination during the autumn will be able to visit Sri Lanka again. The situation at the time of writing is strained, but even here vaccination is taking place on a large scale. However, I am already worried that Sri Lanka is not visible enough and risks losing to other destinations that are usually appreciated by Swedish tourists. Do not wait and work already now with the Swedish and Nordic partners. Do not forget that Nordic tourists spend significantly more than other visitors. It is not the headcounts that lift the tourism industry, but the revenues are the most important. Please present what Sri Lanka has to offer - tourists are also businesspeople. Cooperation between the tourist and export industry is needed.

 Business visits are also expected to resume during the autumn. Sri Lanka is also the perfect #workfromanywhere destination.

 For those of you who are looking for a visit during the winter, it is already good to start looking for travel. My recommendation is to use a Swedish travel agency both for booking flights and the program in Sri Lanka. This in collaboration with a local Sri Lankan tour operator. By doing this, extra security is created, but also flexibility. See you in the autumn and not later than the winter - right?
