Returning to the classroom...
Will be returning as a Lecturer in Spring 2020 to Sonoma State University where I will be teaching the Research Methods course for students in the Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program in the Political Science department. This continues a career transition from the teaching of mathematics and statistics in Math departments towards the teaching of applied research methods and program evaluation within the social sciences.
I will be integrating my own research into the course to provide examples of how to conduct research in a culturally responsive manner. Students will be conducting a research study of their own on a problem of significance within their community. I will be reaching out to some of you to serve as guest speakers for the class. If you are in the local area and would like to enroll in the course or stop by for a classroom visit, please message me here.
Feel free to pass along any textbook or reading recommendations for Master's level students learning about qualitative and quantitative methods applied within the context of a community-based research project.
