Morning everyone,?
WRKPLC has taken on a very different image compare to how it began - the brand has been going for a year now but it all started as this newsletter a year or so before that!?I am grateful for how many of you have continued to follow and subscribe to the newsletter while we've been on hiatus.
Anyway, turns out the name stuck and now we’re pushing hard as ever to turn WRKPLC into a platform that connects designers and tenants. Our mission is to change the way you look at workplace by providing quality ‘edutainment’ office design.
This newsletter needs to evolve with the brand so we will be figuring out the best way of doing that in due course. If you’re reading this and fancy contributing to a monthly newsletter, be it because you have interesting views or just want to build your profile in the space, send me a message, we might have a space for you.?

WORKPLACE DESIGN/ L’Oreal, Korea
L’Oreal shared images of their office in Seoul, Korea and it is absolutely stunning.
As you would expect from the cosmetics giant, this office is stylish and classy. They shared how the office had been ‘redesigned to embody the future of work’ and that the important parts of this space were flexibility and wellbeing.?
The role of the office for L’Oreal is to support collaboration and build connection across their teams and this office certainly looks capable of providing a great foundation for the brand.

FUTURE OF WORK/ Hybrid gets you active
With hybrid working still causing a huge debate in the workplace world, the extra flexibility of hybrid is pushing more people to get active on their commute.
Personnel Today shared the findings of an IWG report that found more people have turned their commute into their daily exercise with commutes to local workspaces 38% more likely to be completed by foot or bike than central locations.
Now the devil is in the detail on this one - commutes to central locations are certainly more difficult for people to do without public transport or a car. However, with the big drain of negativity around hybrid working, this feels like a small win for hybrid. If we’re talking about how the workplace can help inspire better wellbeing, this is a step in the right direction.
WRKPLC CONTENT / Workplace 3000: Roderick Miller @ UKTV
One of the latest episodes of Workplace 3000 featured Head of Workplace Operations and Experience, Roderick Miller. In this episode, Roderick shares his views on how to create the perfect future workplace, which for him is all about bringing people together.
Roderick said “We’re trying to entice people to come in. People should be together, in a space talking and collaborating. I’m a huge advocate of people being together.”?
Roderick also expressed his awareness that for working parents or people that live far away from the office, it can be a challenge to come in as often. But when it’s possible, he believes that by people being together, it’s the best way to talk and learn.?
