RETURN OF “THE KING” QENDRIM PALLATA

RETURN OF “THE KING” QENDRIM PALLATA

Newly turned professional athlete?Qendrim “The King” Pallata?returns to Caged Steel to mark his 8th appearance on the orange canvas. Those who have seen the Albanian fight love the buzz Qendrim creates in the cage. He’s quick to adopt new followers as he produces exciting performances time after time. This March 19th, London’s calling to disrupt a winning start to his career. This will be his toughest fight yet.

We recently caught up with Qendrim at his new gym in Barnsley,?Craig Burke Kickboxing Academy. He’s been training there since early 2020. Gladly the gym withstood pressures of lockdowns and restrictions for him to return and continue training. Qendrim gave us a great insight to his personal life. Over the years he’s fought for Caged Steel, interviews conducted never touched on home life and mainly focused on his training.

Qendrim’s heritage goes back to Albania. He came to the UK at a very young age and has since stayed. He regularly visits family back home each year. They all show great support for him – as well as other supporters in the Albanian community, who keep up with his UK MMA career.

Pallata currently lives Barnsley and shares a great passion for the upcoming town and it’s community. He told us, “I love my Barnsley people and I can’t wait to put Barnsley on the map!” Qendrim lives with his wife and two young children aged 6 and 2. They give him their full support. Off camera he commented on how grateful he is for his partners support who has been an incredible part of his life. Life in this sport as you can imagine is demanding. With long hours working in his day job, Qendrim then head’s to the gym for hard training sessions to work on his skill-set and edge closer to his dream.

However, even with all the support, Qendrim had a great story to tell. He light heartedly told us he didn’t like his family to come watch him fight… until he was good enough! This surprised us, having seen the multiple exciting performances put on over the years. This was until his last fight on Caged Steel 27. To Qendrim’s surprise his mother and wife asked a friend to buy their tickets so he was unaware. Then on fight night, moments before the fight, they arrived at the show. Qendrim told us he caught a glimpse of his boy before entering the cage. We ask you this – what would be going through your head if you were in his place? For Qendrim, this clearly fired him up to perform at his best. And the results ended in his favour, in front of his team mates, friends… and family

We felt proud to hear Qendrim’s view of our promotion when we asked his thoughts on making his 8th Caged Steel?appearance. He commented, “I love fighting on Caged Steel. I made my amateur debut on Caged Steel and also made my professional debut on Caged Steel. Going to fight there is like going to my other house.”

Well, then we welcome Qendrim home, as he returns to face his toughest battle to date. Matt ‘The Marvellous’ Findlay is no push over. He hails from GB Top Team, run by head coach and UFC veteran, Brad Picket. Brad formerly fought out of American Top Team during his UFC career. Findlay trains with some of the U.K’s best athletes who fight on a global scale. He’s constantly sharpening his tools with the best. Matt has 10 years of training and fighting behind him. He left a strong amateur career to pursue a professional journey. Although it’s not been plain sailing for him. He doesn’t take easy fights, which speaks volumes for his opinion of Qendrim. Findlay wants to beat opponents who will boost his rank and credit his name in the sport. He currently holds a professional 3-2 fight record.
