"Return to Innocence" - Genesis

Election year 2016 in the USA. My family and I set out on a journey to find answers to why the world's oldest democracy was presenting Donald Trump as a candidate for the most powerful person in the world. During this journey, I decided that the world's largest democracy would need to participate as equal partners in the leadership for the creation of a just, equitable and sustainable Earth.

Trump went on to win the election proving that democracy works and it is in this dynamic, chaotic system that humankind will find balance.

I went on to kick off a project on November 9th 2016 which I titled "Return to Innocence". The current outcomes of which I will document through a series of posts on LinkedIn over the next few weeks.

In 2020 and beyond, I wish the best for the USA - the land of the free, home to the brave and the land of plenty. India might hold some answers for the way forward. A teeming, energetic blend of modern with traditional, rational with spiritual, astute/cut-throat business with empathy. Obviously, both our nations have their faults, like most democracies do. But, we have the patience and perseverance to change our methods and circumstances with the changing times while keeping the core values of our respective Constitutions alive.
