RETRAUMATIZED BY TWO UNETHICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS
These emails were BEFORE the 2 YEAR sexual relationship I had with Jim (Dr. James Barbaria) and AFTER the very questionable physically inappropriate relationship I had with Dick (Dr. Richard Geist).

Speaking about changes, for one thing I noticed the relationship with Dick start to fade in April of 2007 when he was away in Denver.....during a phone call that he ended quite suddenly. He use to call ALL the time. I was upset with you that you didn't call me over your summer vacation, but also relieved that we did not "start" on that track and have it fade like it did with Dick. That is why when you asked if you could call me over the weekend when you were away I got angry at you saying "You didn't call me over your vacation". Funny last night I had a dream about leaving Dick, and in the dream he said "well if you think I'm not helping you". Also in the dream he would not share what he wrote during one of his speeches. I do NOT want to live through the heartache again...6 YEARS and heavy drinking....getting drunk on vodka EVERY FRIDAY after the measly 15 minute sessions he gave me. I felt like shit! I walked out on him. Then I called months later and we hooked up. But all the time away and all the severe pain he caused me I NEVER thought of bringing him to the board.
I'm worried, no really terrified that it will happen to us. It happened once to me with Dick and it can happen again with you. I was also very concerned that you would meet someone special during this trip, another IFS psychologist and that you would no longer want to hold me or love me.

Sorry to hear (from your other messages) that you have been having such a hard day! Sounds like you have been in touch in a deep way with the experience of aloneness that my being away triggered but is related more to your painful estrangement in the past from Dick! And that this past experience is triggering some anxiety about it's potentially happening again at some point with me as well! Wonder if that was partly why you shut down in our last session, seeking to withdraw from me first to protect yourself from the experience of the separation or a possible rejection? Regardless, it would certainly be important for us to explore and address further tomorrow what has been hurting you and what you have been struggling with! Glad that we are meeting soon!

1 个月I was recently looking through the "delisted" section of two British psychotherapy professional bodies. In a profession that is female heavy in terms of numbers of practioners, the inverse is true of therapists who have been struck off professional registers - where it seems to be 80-90% men who have their accreditation removed. Of course, I don't know that they were all removed because of breaching professional boundaries in a very unethical, sexual manner - but it does seem quite likely.

1 个月It sounds like Jim was entertaining someone else while in Denver and you suspected that he was. You became jealous when you realized he was cheating with another patient. Am I correct ? Many of those perverts are doing the same thing right here on this platform. They're projecting the image of being seasoned, successful professionals when they are really just sick old perverts who are trying to position themselves to cross paths with young, attractive, career minded, ambitious and determined women who are looking to further their careers. These weirdos come across as someone who holds the keys to the doors of "opportunities" (ie: connections, ability to hire for job openings, endless networking opportunities, etc....). They prefer women who are willing to do "anything" to get ahead (and you know what I mean when I say "anything".........it usually involves a lot of "slurping and burping" ??) In reality, they are on some Harvey Weinstein/P. Diddy ??. Be careful ladies because they will waste your time .
