The Retirement Savings Crisis - Is it Worse Than We Think?

This study confirms the poor state of the average American workers retirement plan.  Declining numbers of employer-sponsored retirement plans, low participation rates by employees, and low savings rates all point to trouble for many American workers.  The average amount accumulated by those near retirement (age 55-64) is $100,000.
