Retirement Planning
Speaking like the biblical King Solomon!!!
?“I have seen something under the sun, four funny things about the messages of retirement planning:
?1.??They are like a bridge to the other world which does not respect qualifications, talent or experience----others have the courage to call it the golden age.
?2.??The messages have the potential to be despised even by the learned
?3.??The youth say” the messages are coming at a wrong time, too early to attract our attention” not knowing that retirement planning is better done between the ages of 25 and 39 years.
?4.??The 50 plus generation receive the messages with joy, thinking that they have come at the right time. Not knowing that their time is over- only an extra time is offered as a bonus.
?Many of us want to live up to say, 85 years or more, but when you begin to think about how to finance life from the age of 60 years when your salary stops, you understand the wisdom behind planning for retirement.
?Think about the damage the comfort zone is causing to the “YOU” at the old age.
?The lock-down periods due to covid-19 pandemic were the reality checks on our readiness.
?If the statutory retirement age in your country is 60 years but you want to live up to 85 years, then you have a solid 25 years without a pay-check.
The day of Pentecostal, after Peter had preached to the crowd that was perplexed with the speaking in tongues, they asked “what then, should we do to be saved” You too, ask the same question if you think you have not considered this area before.
