Rethinking Workplace Well-being: Evolving Your Organization’s Approach to Employee Care

In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving work environment, the well-being of employees has become more critical than ever. Imagine a workplace where mental health and overall well-being are prioritized, where employees feel valued, connected, and supported. If this vision resonates with you, you're in the right place.

In 2022, the US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) introduced the first-ever Framework for Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being. This groundbreaking initiative is a significant step towards redefining our workplaces, addressing both physical and mental health needs. However, while the framework sets a solid foundation, the journey towards truly caring workplaces requires more than just guidelines—it demands action and commitment.

The Need for a New Approach

The Framework for Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being provides a comprehensive blueprint, but understanding and implementing its principles can be challenging. This is where I come in. My work around building organizations that care for their workers helps businesses decode the framework, assess their current practices, and identify areas for growth and improvement. A workplace centered on care and compassion leads to a more engaged, productive, and loyal workforce.

That's why I've created an Action Circle Series called "Rethinking Workplace Wellbeing." In this Action Circle, I work with leaders to decode and make this framework actionable for your workplace. Each 90-minute session will include insights, discussions, and reflections they can apply right now to their work.

I'm currently running this series with a client, and the results have been incredible--I've been able to open up new avenues of awareness and exploration, and have been able to troubleshoot ways that people can care for each other in real time, having rippling effects throughout the organization in the short time we've been working together.
