Rethinking the way we think.

Rethinking the way we think.

Where to begin?

Here I am, finding myself on this stunning, rain-soaked Sunday afternoon, indulging in the simple pleasure of "sitting by the window" and savoring the rainfall. I'm supposed to relax, taking it easy today, before returning to work on Monday morning. Yet I can't help but reflect on how our approach to questions and wisdom has evolved over the centuries.

Back in the days of Socrates, asking questions was the ultimate flex. The person with the most queries was considered the wisest - talk about a power move!

But nowadays, it's all about having the right answers and being the expert with all the knowledge.

Seriously, have you ever attempted to ask an "apparent" question during a boardroom meeting? You're likely to receive some raised eyebrows and baffled looks. It seems as though we've disconnected from the elegance of inquisitiveness and the delight of discovery. Instead, we're anticipated to know everything and be the modern age's walking encyclopedias.

Let's take a step back and rethink this mindset. What if we brought back the Socratic spirit and embraced the art of questioning? What if we celebrated the "useless" questions of the mind that don't have an immediate practical outcome but instead open up new possibilities and perspectives? After all, it's in the process of questioning that we truly expand our understanding of the world and ourselves.

I say it's time to defy the conventional norms, welcome those "pointless" inquiries, and applaud the variety of perspectives and input from all. It's time to recover the forgotten craft of Socratic questioning?and set out on an odyssey of cerebral discovery seasoned with a dash of wit and heaps of inquisitiveness!

Honestly, who's to say questioning what we take as obvious can't be enjoyable or helpful, for that matter?

Here's to challenging the status quo and preserving the essence of Socrates in high spirits!

Love what you're doing Aida! Seek the greatest understanding and serve the highest good. Let love and understanding be the light and your way. These are two of my guiding principles. Both are impulses from deep within my psyche. They may exist deep within your psyche as well.
