Rethinking Stress: The Upside You Didn't Know
In a world where stress-free living is often praised or even encouraged — consider the social media companies that reward users who showcase a certain lifestyle —stress is something we don't often see portrayed.
Don't get me wrong; we all want to show our best side online; it's natural.
However, with all these impressions, the role of stress in this new era might need to be rethought.
I say that because stress is something you don't see on Instagram, TikTok, etc.
But stress can be good.
Stress, when derived from legitimate concerns and substantial challenges, serves as a catalyst for growth and development. It propels us to confront obstacles head-on, fostering resilience and fortitude in the face of adversity.
I don’t think we want a stress-free existence.
If we are not worrying about something big that's real, we're going to worry about something that is small and delusional.
So, instead of trying to avoid stress altogether, maybe we should learn to deal with it in a healthy way. It could actually help us grow and become better versions of ourselves.
That's my reflection for today.
Until next time,
