Rethinking Business and Design Through AI
Hi there,
In this week’s roundup, we dive into the latest that crosses AI, product, business and design, exploring how the latest innovations are reshaping our everyday experiences and workflows.
Whether you’re harnessing AI in your product strategy, enhancing your team’s capabilities, or just staying ahead of emerging trends, these articles should have something insightful for you.
Let’s dive in!
1. UX Is Dead, Long Live UX
Business leaders have been questioning the value of UX investments for years. Nielsen Norman Group have been exploring a more provocative question: Is UX dead?
The answer, of course, is more nuanced and reassuring. The article argues convincingly that the fundamentals of UX remain central to creating satisfied, loyal customers.
Well worth a read for anyone navigating UX’s evolving role in their organisation.
2. Strategy Feeds Culture For Breakfast
My buddy Stephen Cross shares a thought-provoking piece this week that flips the classic Peter Drucker wisdom ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’ on its head.
Stephen argues that perhaps our strategies are failing because they aren’t nourishing the culture itself.
Worth a read if you’ve ever felt your strategic plans vanish once they reach your team’s day-to-day reality
3. Make Fully Coded Landing Pages with Loveable AI
Meng To recently showcased Lovable —an impressive tool that turns simple prompts into beautifully designed landing pages, and even converts screenshots directly into Tailwind code.
If you’re into design, this feels like the future we’re all waiting for.
4. How AI Is Changing the Landscape of UX and Product Design
This article explores how artificial intelligence is revolutionising product design and user experience. It discusses AI’s role in personalising products, predicting user behaviour, and automating design tasks, leading to more efficient and user-centered products.
5. Anthropic Shifts Focus to Business Users with New AI Features
AI startup Anthropic is pivoting towards enterprise solutions by launching features aimed at business users.
These include tools that analyse calendars and external data to prepare pre-meeting reports, as well as voice-driven AI systems for natural interactions.

3 天前Great summary Ross. I love the reference to how short-sighted it is for businesses to think UCD is done… we’re entering a new era of HCD (human-centred design). Especially regarding AI system designs for the workforce or education, everything we “know” about UCD is about to be turned on its head; Instead of designing for seamless, intuitive, simple UIs, we’re going to see an increasing need to introduce user-friendly friction & tailored areas of explainability. Without these considerations there’s a risk of workforce over-reliance and complacency in the tech, or equally a reduced efficiency due to a lack of trust and workforce confidence.
