Rethinking Architecture

History is written by the winners. This logic is applied to architecture. In a widespread claim by people from the two sides of the Mediterranean Sea. The Spaniards generally talked about the "Hispano-Moresque", giving importance first to the Hispanic side of architecture and then second position Moorish. While people from the other bank of the sea emphasize on Arab-Islamic architecture, although the second part would make sense going from the general to the specific, pan-Arabism stresses the first part. The missing sequence of this equation of architecture is the contribution of Imazighen falsely known as the Berbers. I am not here to exclude the claim of Arabs or the Spaniards and to eliminate their contributions, but I wanted to rethink this equation. Since culture is the synergic accumulation of heritage of the different nations. It is noteworthy to underline the contributions of Imazighen through their amazing ecology-friendly technique in building pre-desertic places known as Ighrem (m) or tighremt (f). Many buildings stand majestically across the Southeast of Morocco.
