Retaining Clients and Attracting Prospective Clients

I have worked for some of the largest corporations in the world over the past 25 years and I have been invited to all types of networking events, dinners, cocktail hours.  In addition, I have been a part of the coordination for similar events to attract prospective clients and to entertain current clients.  Many of the external events were very typical, conservative and didn't have that appeal for me to spend my after work hours as a guest.

Relationships are not developed over the telephone, but cultivated face to face.  However, those relationships move to another level in a social setting.  What are you doing to create that differentiation for your events as a company, event planner or just an executive like me that previously had to plan events on my own or with administrative support?

Think outside of the box, create memorable experiences for your prospective clients and current clients to change their schedules to make it their business to attend your events.  Unfortunately, many events do not drive that urgency to change social calendars.
