Retail Resource to Excel Through the Massive Disruption Happening in the Retail Sector

It is humbling to see so many people resonating with my new book: The Ultimate Retail Manual. It brings me great joy to share the knowledge that I gleaned during my thirty-year tenure within the retail sector as an executive leader with others. I wrote the book to assist other retail/business leaders with adjusting, adapting, and acclimating to the New Retail Ethos we are experiencing in the retail sector.

I am feeling immense gratitude today for my first book sales in France and Italy. What an honor to share The Ultimate Retail Manual with other countries around the world. In addition, the retail manual has an international presence that is resonating with readers in India, Germany, UK, Mexico, Ireland, Canada, and Australia.

I have always felt that it is our responsibility to "help others" through our knowledge, perspective, and experiences. It brings me great joy to assist retail leaders and business leaders with the knowledge that I gleaned from my 30-year tenure in the retail sector.

The book pays attention to hiring, firing and managing employees. It is equally detailed in terms of the layout of the store, cleanliness and other environmental factors.

Positive interaction between employees and customers is a major theme in the book. Nothing is overlooked: displays, the store entrance, the parking lot, carts, lighting, signs, pricing goods and handling complaints. Company and store culture is stressed at every turn and McNulty pushes integrity. The author realizes that business is really based on positive interactions between different people, and everyone working is a part of a team."

With the retail sector experiencing massive disruption, many readers are conveying to me that the manual is helping them to navigate this recorrection while implementing the 10-pillar strategies. The manual was created through massive experimentation of the principles contained within. The stellar results highlighted throughout the retail manual were achieved through rigorous in-store testing which provides readers with "empirical results" as opposed to "theoretical ideas."

There are numerous influencers who are committed to expressing the Retail Apocalypse narrative while ignoring the surfeit of positive developments happening within the retail sector. I have always believed in an "EVEN EXCHANGE OF ENERGY" that provides all parties with fairness and satisfaction i.e. "Fairness is the currency of decency." I believe in sharing the positive developments happening within the retail sector as well as the unfavorable. It appears that the predominant coverage of the retail sector is severely slanted towards the negative while ignoring the positive.

There are numerous retailers who are staunchly defying this doom and gloom sentiment by excelling during this tumultuous environment e.g., Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Walmart, Costco, TJMaxx, Kroger, BestBuy, Publix, and Wegmans. I am extremely optimistic about the future of the retail sector! During this transition, many sub-par retailers will reduce their footprint or disappear altogether. However, after this recorrection has taken place, the retail sector will provide an environment that is slimmer, seamless, experiential, and accommodating.

I just received an inquiry from a major retailer that is interested in purchasing the manual for all of its employees and leaders. This retailer is focusing on investing in its employees/leader's growth. My sincerest intention for writing "The Ultimate Retail Manual" was to provide an invaluable resource for all retail/business leaders to assist with drastically shortening the time required to become a "best in class" retail organization.

In addition, I have 13 collegiate institutions that are interested in adding the manual to their curriculum. I am super excited to assist the next generation of retail/business leaders with their aspirations.

It is my pleasure to share this knowledge with others through this creative medium. I felt compelled to write this book because I remember the feeling of being utterly overwhelmed by the breadth of knowledge that is required to become a true servant leader in a retail or business environment.

Congratulations Jeffrey for a major retailer considering in purchasing a copy of your manual for all its employees and leaders, and the 13 collegiate institutions adding the manual to their curriculum! What if every High School student in their Sophomore year had a copy of "The Ultimate Retail Manual", BEFORE they started their first summer job.
