Retail Notes From February
Back once more for another edition of retail entries and I must say that I had somewhat of a quiet month businesswise. Not a whole lot of activity regarding customers but a whole lot of news that took place last month regarding retail and one news that I happened to get a hold of while working. Now I think that in some previous newsletters I talked a bit about food prices and how they have increased due to inflation.
Well just to let myself and others know that last month I have read that the price of food has slowed down or has halted to some degree and that will definitely help customers that are buying food and looking for discounts. But we cannot guarantee that inflation will stop where it is since at some point eventually prices will go up in goods and services including the price of food which has been going up the last few months.
Of course there isn't this letter without myself telling you what is going on in my community or neighborhood. It looks like Rona is officially open for business since they have bee going through a lot of changes within their store now that Lowe's has officially left the Canadian market just like Target Inc way back in 2013 where they weren't able to keep up with the demands of the Canadian consumer and economic conditions.
At the same time I am curious in finding out what shop they are going to build in place of where this restaurant use to sit because they destroyed the building and as far as I can tell it is all in shambles and pebbles.
