Retail Leisure Construction, Gloucester

Project Description

Pacy and Wheatley were recently appointed to complete a Retail and Leisure Construction project for House of Play Ltd. Our client commissioned us to provide a soft play area within the Oxstalls Tennis centre in Gloucester.

As the current “Tennis Club of the Year” our client saw an opportunity to gain younger members, so installing a soft play area was the next step.

We began by demolishing the existing changing room facilities, allowing the team to form a new area complete with toilet and servery facilities. We installed new mechanical, plumbing and electrical works alongside with internal wall and floor finishes.

The Challenge

This was our first project for our client, so a complete understanding of the end product was imperative to ensure high-quality installations, alongside offering design inputs and value engineering.

Limited access to the site posed a challenge during the demolition process, as the club is based within a busy environment.

The Solution

Thanks to our good local supplier selection, flexible team and good on-site management skills, we overcame the challenges posed during the project. We're delighted to say that the project was completed on-time and on-budget.

Key Achievements

Pacy & Wheatley were considered to produce value engineering and the client were delighted with our work, which in turn allowed them to complete on time. The Oxstalls Tennis Centre received a high-quality end product, which created a new interest in their other activities.
