The Resurrection Power

Resurrection

• Surrection is typically a geological term for upheaval or uplift. Insurrection is "an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government". Resurrection can be defined as "the state of one risen from the dead".... or, more broadly, resurgence. Either way, upheaval might be involved indeed. As we enter Easter Weekend and following on Naw Ruz for me, I am reflecting and holding conversation on a broader and personal meaning of Resurrection.

RESOLUTE and Resurrecting

Yesterday, I posted...

• "Resolute. It is the root of Resolution. To be resolved. Ain't about wishful thinking. A mentor years ago said... "#Commitment?is doing the thing you said you'd do when you felt?#committed... long after you no longer feel committed." The freakin' follow through. #Motivation?is important. But?#Will?carries us between the moments of motivation. Will is pressing on the gas to make the engine of Motivation kick in. Resolute. There is a?#resoluteness?going on within me. Getting back to an optimal?#health?... and sharpening the blades on the work and?#Service?forward. Retirement... re-tiring the vehicle that is my Life... new vistas and adventures. #Adventures?in cartooning and fiction writing. Adventures in singing and dancing. Adventures in teaching, coaching and mentoring. Adventures in Boxing. Adventures in other locales. Adventures in Love. ?? Resolute. Indeed. In deed. Watching the new Seasons of The Mandalorian and Picard are feeding the Beast. Prayers too. Resolute. Find your resolve and resolution. Tonight I had conversation with?Guy Matthews?about?#resurrection?... and shared the conversation here on LinkedIn. I humbly suggest you watch it. The pendants around my neck are reminders of my?#Faith?and "doing the work".

• Amidst?#change?and?#challenge?... platitudes and clichés mean little in comparison to getting clear and Resolute. Our ballast, anchor, rudder and sail. That said... Resolution is a force for Resurrection. May The Force be with you. ?? ?? ?? ??"

Resolute is a Force and it is about doing the work. And, I offer up that substantive Resurrection requires such.

Define and Refine

That said, last May, I offered up a serving of When She Finds Me. It holds true to this day. It was a statement of both readiness and laying claim... applicable for all areas of life. I humbly recommend the read and reflect. With that in mind, I suggest that Resurrection is about constructively questioning age and other constructs. It is about exploring and finding new Balance. It is about defining our Code.... and our better Understanding that Character matters. It is about coolly exploring Purpose. It is about consulting with ourselves Soulfully... on what truly matters most to us. It is about defining and refining who we Be and Do.

I educate, coach, mentor, speak, facilitate, train, entertain, sing, dance, cartoon, write, blog, vlog, box and create to advance Character and Purpose and Unity driven leadership at school, work, business and community. That does not change, nor will. It is my LIFE/work and Service... including TUGtv.

That noted, models and platforms will change. More mentoring and coaching. A stronger health. Writing science fiction will be part of forward. More singing and dancing and Boxing too. And cartooning. And, Archery. This Weekend, I plan on my own conscious Resurrection... to naturally define and refine "The Barry Unit".... and resurrect.

The Sharpies are ready. The crafting paper too. Prayers and meditations and play as well. Dialing back and dialing in. It is a conscious retreat ... to advance. It is a decision for my own Resurrection, coming out of Easter.

For You and Me

My questions and thoughts to you (and me) now are:

• How and when can we invest in our own reflection on Resurrection in a way that forges the Resolute for us?
• What space and time do we each best need to take that bit of a journey?

• What would be the return on that investment?
• What obstacles stand in our way of doing so?
• How can we move beyond the obstacles and distractions to resurrect?
• What would all of that look like, in practice and when will we do it?

I have done my reflection on these questions. At The Greens and Cape Spear and this Easter Weekend. A healthy Fervor and genuine sense of Meekness is part of the ROI. I know my distractions and have accounted for same. I am ready for this.

Resurrection and Resurgence are about peeling away to find what really matters, beyond the arbitrary and contrived expectations of a world that says "be real". It is less about "being more" and more about being "lessened" of that which does not really matter any more. By peeling away and getting to what matters most, we are being our most real... and practicing Honor with ourselves.

However you celebrate and Honor Easter or not... I sincerely wish you Resurrection and the finding of the Resolute.
