As someone in the recruiting and career coaching industry for almost 30 years, I have had the opportunity to leaf through the old-school paper versions and scroll through thousands of resumes on the computer. Through my experience, I have realized that many recruiters and career coaches often do a disservice to job seekers who need assistance presenting themselves effectively through a resume. They advise taking off dates and excluding pertinent experiences that preclude job seekers from being interviewed.
