A little over a week ago we ran a LinkedIn poll to find out the ratio between people who were either: already vegan, were thinking about making the change to become vegan or people who didn't feel like they could give up meat & dairy products.
We let the poll run the full course and now we want to share the results with you!
Interesting to note that 15 % of people who voted on our poll are already vegan, this reflects a consistent trend over the last 3-5 years with an estimated 13 million Brits (26%) being vegetarian, vegan or pescatarian by the end of 2021
It's therefore no surprise that grocers and other retailers are expanding their listings for vegan brands and products. Consumer behaviour and Shopper missions have exponentially driven category growth and continue to do so. This shift in behaviour has also resulted in a very positive impact on innovation, as manufacturers continue to find ways of increasing market share and distribution, as well as building brand loyalty.
As the benefits of a plant based diet are becoming more and more apparent, undoubtedly this category will continue to grow and grow.
If you were thinking about becoming vegan or just curious on the health benefits a vegan diet can provide, we have found a brilliant article for you to review below:
