Mobile and Desktop App Development:
- The highest retention was?Tauri,?a new open-source toolkit used to build cross-platform desktop apps
. Its core libraries are?written in Rust and boasts security and reducing resource usage.? - React?retains its first-place position as the?most widely used front-end framework
, with Angular pulling up into second place. - The most interesting framework most JS devs want to learn is Svelte, followed by Solid.
- Among rendering frameworks, Next.js came in first place, followed by Gatsby. Note: JS developers are as interested in learning Next.js as much as they want to learn SvelteKit and Astro.?

- Electron?was #1 for building cross platform desktop apps, even though its retention levels have started to drop off, but still one of the top 5.?
- Interestingly, only?5% surveyed used Tauri, but it looks like its usage is increasing.?
- The?most popular toolkit is Electron, followed by React Native and Cordova.?
- The most used?frontend framework is React
