No results from your LinkedIn so far? Here is why

It took me a while to grasp it, yet it is so easy. There are only three major strategies how to be active on this network:

STRATEGY I - INFLUENCE

STRATEGY F&B - FAME AND BUSINESS

STRATEGY I&B - INFLUENCE AND BUSINESS

For some reason, too many people tend to apply F&B. In most cases, it's a mistake.

FAME AND BUSINESS means that you are famous and getting hundreds of interactions on posts. People start to recognize you at social events and you get demands from potential customers/applications from potential employees.

So far so good, huh?

Provided that you will get there. Strategy F&B needs talent, hard work, and luck. Only a few people can be true movie stars. Rocks stars. LinkedIn stars. It's realistic to become one;

It's not probable, though. And if you become one, it's not guaranteed that it will last.

Some of you understand that, and this is what discourages you from LinkedIn communication in general.

Some of you get it and try anyway.

Few of you chose strategies I (INFLUENCE) or I&B (INFLUENCE AND BUSINESS).

I - means that you are fine with publishing just one post weekly and delivering your thoughts only to a narrow target group. Which is in so many cases the finest path. Most cost-efficient. You don't need to get famous among a broad audience: what you need is to influence a key target group.

I&B - means that you also need to get business meetings with those target people who were influenced by your communication. Most of them won't write you a demand; hence, you need to private message them yourself.

The magic here is that, in so many cases, it will work, and they will be happy to meet you!

Remember that you shall already be in contact on LinkedIn, and it's wise to evaluate the data to determine whether the counterpart was truly interested in your communication.

And you need to write a good private message.

And that's it. If you set up your expectations and strategy accordingly, there is much less chance of disappointment.
