Restrictions force us to be more connected and creative than ever

We were all expecting it, but being faced with new restrictions to flatten the curve, is a scary thought for small business owners.

We know we’re all resilient and we’ve proved it over the last few months but we keep having to find new ways to motivate ourselves to get up every day to fight for our businesses and the clients we serve. For some, you’ve already put everything you have into it, and there’s nothing left to give, and for some, you can keep going, but you’re tired and not sure how long you can keep the strength to keep fighting.

Businesses of all sizes have been hit hard in this challenging age of social distancing and self-isolation, but the blow has been catastrophic in particular for small operations that rely on in-person transactions.

From the beginning of COVID, we’ve intentionally positioned Marketing Guardians as a resource for businesses and entrepreneurs in need of support. We’ve all seen heartwarming messages like this being shared on social media:

We are now a solid 8 months into this. If you are not working/not getting a paycheck/struggling to make ends meet and run out of food or necessities… please don’t let yourself or your kids go to sleep with an empty stomach. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send me a private message. We are more than happy to help. We will drop and go, or order for delivery. No one has to know and we will pretend it never happened. What's understood never has to be explained. We are serious.

We’d like to apply this same sentiment to entrepreneurs and our small business community. So here is our message of support to you:

And, more importantly, don’t feel like you have no one to help you champion your cause. You’ve worked hard and you’ve earned the right to be proud of your accomplishments so far, but it feels so deflating right now. Don’t be afraid to reach out for some support. We’re not experts at everything, but we are Marketing experts. We’ve been trying to support our clients, friends and our community from the very beginning. Throughout COVID we’ve all said “We’re in this together,” and this is our opportunity to show that we’re here for you. We’ll never document it on social media or record our conversations on video - we promise to use our creative minds to help you look for solutions in your business. No one else will ever know you reached out and we’ll never judge. We have kids and families too and know that sometimes a helping hand is something we wish we had but have never asked for.
