Restriction on use of certain words by Trading Member/Authorized Person in their name

NSE has issued a circular ( Ref no - NSE/COMP/55716 dated 22nd Feb 2023) barring brokers to use such nomenclature which create an impression of performing a role for which the entity is not registered. Therefore, stock brokers and their authorised persons ?can not use words like Advisors, Asset/Wealth/Portfolio Management etc in their name which gives the general public a notion of the broker holding such license without actually having obtained one.

Stock Brokers and its APs ?having such naming convention without any such registration are required to change it with ROC/ROF and also on Exchange records by March 31, 2023.
