Restoring Context to Seismic Attributes
Seismic amplitude analysis has become a mainstay interpretation technique for many explorationists. Like many aspects of interpretation, however, our use of archaic visualization techniques makes the analysis more difficult and less effective. One of the primary difficulties is that whereas we understand seismic and what it is telling us, we lose that context when we drop into our attribute space.
What we need is a way to co-render attributes and seismic in a such a way that we retain our familiar seismic context while clearly visualizing our derived attribute. In this video I show you how to do just that using Dynamic Seismic Displays now available in the latest release of The Seismic Terrain Explorer.
