Restorative Reminder - 2/9/2021
Today's Restorative Reminder is from one of my trainings where I provide context for how some of our parents view the role of school. I thought this video was appropriate to send at this time because of the understanding and support schools are needing from parents during this unprecedentedly challenging school year.

3 年"Planned parenthood" is under-rated. Parenting takes responsibility and not everyone capable of making a baby is capable (or ready) to be a parent or to take on the responsibility of being parents in a healthy relationship. All I'm saying is planning for this awesome task could yield great benefits for all involved. Ya'll please think before reacting. Our children's lives and futures are at stake!!!

3 年Head-on presentation, too often educators lose focus on the parenting life challenges. It's ironic that many of us have school-age children or have raised children who are now young adults. The fog comes in when educational factors overshadow and cloud the whole-child view. Factors involving pedagogy, logistics, mental/ physical health, top-down demands, student/parent accountability, and other shifts in the multi-colored fabric of our profession. What I am hearing in your presentation is a reminder that we must never lose focus on the human element of our profession and service as our goal to impact student learning. Thanks for all you do.
