The Restaurant Owner With A Taste for Data Analysis

At just 30, Tawanda Nyamukapa is already well on his way. He’s Co-Owner of the 4.9 star Fratelli’s Diner in Lusaka — “It’s always been my dream to own a restaurant. I love to eat nice food, so having an establishment known for delicious food made sense to me.” He also has a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management from the University of Pretoria and is a CIMA strategic level student. However, this is just the beginning for Tawanda.

“I’m goal oriented, so I normally look beyond now, and use the desired future outcome as a basis of making decisions and inspiration to do what needs to be done.” 

Tawanda previously worked as Senior Accountant at Rhodes Park School and Cooper Construction in Zimbabwe as a Management Accountant. More recently, Tawanda joined Infobwana Ltd as Management Accountant, working with us two days a week.

As an expert in data analysis Tawanda says the thing he likes most about Infobwana is the information systems we use which make it easy to extract the data we need for analysis and interpretation. 

When asked what kind of Zambia he wants to see in 5 years, he says, “As a business owner you find many young people want to get rich quick. I would like to see a Zambia where the youth put in the work to get what they want. Let everyone do what they are good at and spend more time being productive. That way the country will be a better place for everyone.”
