The rest of your life!

The rest of your life!

Some people think of their life in stages. First you were child, next a student. Many are in the work force and maybe even retired. For others it’s a state of mind.?Once they hit a certain goal like making a certain amount of money, then they relax. For some, once they meet their significant other, they are ready for the rest of their lives.

There is no right answer, and we are all on our own personal journey. It really comes down to mindset. Like many of you, I broke my life into stages just like I stated at the beginning of this article. I am not retired yet, but that is still the dream down the road. I hit my first money goal a few years ago, and immediately reset … it as important to strive for goals that challenge us, thus I am not done adding to it.?The key for me is, I am fortunate to have a significant other who brings a smile to my face, every day!

In 2019, I was in a car accident, walked away without a scratch, the car, not so much. It was totaled. The “Readers Digest” version of this story is that an 18-wheeler decided to lane change into my Prius C. What happened was the 18-wheeler caught the left side of my bumper. This resulted in the 18-wheeler turning my car right in front of his truck, and the next thing I know, I’m being pushed 650 yards down the highway.

It was scary, and from that day on I got a heightened appreciation for life. Tomorrow is not promised.?It is important to be present every day, and let others know you care.?It is imperative to make time to be with the ones you love. This is what the REST concept is all about. Treating you and your special someone to that needed getaway.?Life can be short, we need to make moments memorable. Stop with the I coulda shoulda and go ahead and treat yourself to that needed vacation and treat life as it is precious. This should not be negotiable. Come stay with us and experience the REST of your life.
