No rest for weary

No rest for weary

This is a proverb that says that?one must keep working no matter how tired they get. Talk about a bad idea! No good can come out of this kind of situation. Think about it …Would you want someone making life decisions for you or themselves when they are weary? We didn’t so.?

Our hope is that we all learn how to identify warning signs and understand that we need to take a break. If ever it was life telling you take a break. If ever it was life telling you take a break, it’s when you become restless and never get that feeling of being well rested. Or, if you attempt to relax, but you have a hard time sitting still or quieting your mind…it’s time for REST.

No motivation, dragging yourself to your job, or losing interest in life means you’ve reached the point of burnout. High stress levels can turn activities you once enjoyed into monotonous tasks you do out of obligation… it’s time for REST.

No energy? Lots of stress can leave you feeling physically and mentally exhausted, even after a good night of sleep. Having a hard time concentrating and struggling to follow what’s being said during a meeting?... it’s time for REST.

No one is immune to mild forgetfulness or an off day from time to time. But if you find that your usual tasks are taking longer or feel harder to get through, you may have too much on your plate…it’s time for REST.

Feel indifferent about your life? It’s normal to feel a bit down once in a while when it comes to your work and other responsibilities, but you shouldn’t constantly feel down by what you do. Your daily activities and tasks should give you a sense of satisfaction and achievement after completing them…it’s time for REST.?

Becoming cynical or negative (you start snapping at people more often than not)? Is everyone getting on your last nerve? In the beginning, burnout can look like mild tension and irritability, but it can quickly turn into angry outbursts at work or at home. You may not even know what you’re mad about; you’re just permanently in a state of cranky…it’s time for REST.?

Not enjoying your favorite things? Losing interest in things you once loved is a telltale sign that something’s not quite right. If going to the movies or dining out with friends was once fulfilling but has started to feel pointless, it’s time to take a step back and REST

Bottom line, everyone needs a break from time to time and we want to tell you that we here at BWB Hospitality hear you… and it’s ALMOST time for REST.
