Responsive IT for the business and end-user

The consumerisation of IT is a well (over?) used term in relation to how personal IT is impacting the enterprise but what does it mean for how CIOs are expected to support their organisations? Under attack by the Chief Digital Officer for many years the CIO is seeing a comeback through a strategy of addressing constraints in order to enable increased flexibility and pace of change; fundamental requirements that underpin an enterprise level Digital Transformation agenda.

But, in this new world, how should success of the application estate be measured? From the perspective of its key stakeholders surely - the business and its users?
