Responsibility
Genesis 4:9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
When I was in trouble selling cars (I sold a lot of cars so I was in trouble a lot. As the Bible verse says Proverbs 14:4 ‘Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox’). So I would go to my boss and tell her what I did wrong, and her answer was always the same“oh no!! What are WE going to do now?” I learned to not hide or cover up problems. Her response of shared responsibility (in my opinion anyway) encouraged me to take risks and to tell her when I stepped on it. She’s a mega-dealership owner now.
We are in fact our brother′s keepers. The key word is brother. Brother implies family. Theoretically we should love our brothers. I call everyone brother (in faith, fully expecting them to get saved). I love everyone. I love everything. In fact, I love everywhere where I have ever been. God poured out His love into my heart when I got saved. People still scare me. People still hurt me (more than ever now that I love them). I avoid people who want to damage my ministry hurt us physically. But I don’t have a bitter bone in my body. In my opinion, if you don’t love everyone possible, and try to love the impossible to love, you’re not saved . But God is more gracious than I am.
1 John 4:8 God is love
I see drunks and atheists and I call them brother by faith because I see them as getting saved someday in the future. I call my homosexual and prostitute friends brothers and sisters (often to their dismay. I don’t have the pronoun thing down, nor want to). I serve a God of straight homosexuals, sober drunks and married prostitutes. I even got yelled at by an evangelical missionary for calling a catholic priest ‘my brother’. I am too busy trying to love people into the kingdom of God to worry about if they are a ‘son of God’ or a ‘son of Satan’. I love ‘em all and let God figure it out. I see the glass half full. We all have a chance to be saved as long as we are alive. When someone suffers, I suffer. When they’re happy about good things, I rejoice with them. I purposely don’t compete with others, I let them win. That’s what comes when you genuinely love others. You are responsible for them. You are happy when they are happy. You suffer when they suffer. You try to help.
Romans 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
My responsibility is different in regards to others than to myself. I stoled the following from Larry Turner (counselor for SAW, Save a Warrior). ‘I am not personally responsible for any of the stuff that “happened to me” in the past. I am responsible, however, for how I process those events, the resentments I choose to hold onto (or let go of), for my perspective of life, how I view myself and how I view others around me. Until I take responsibility for all that stuff, I will always mentally feel lost, like a victim with no control of my own life.′ It’s called the blame game. Forget the past, suck it up, make any changes you can and carry on.
Acts 20:24. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
So, as a born again, saved Christian, I am physically responsible for my 3 foot world. For myself, and for people I can physically touch, I am responsible for their protection and comfort. IE Offer a coat to someone who is cold. Food for someone hungry. If I am on a crowded city bus and a little old man is standing, I give him my seat. I am kind and considerate of my co-workers and to my next door neighbors, whether they appreciate it or not.
Outside of my three foot world, If someone asks me spiritual advice, I try to help them. I am very active ministering to those who want to be ministerred to on social media, mostly fb. I am on a ‘last call’ list for suicidal vets, Nicaragua Police and the US Embassy. I do pray for a lot of people outside of my 3 foot world, but I can’t do much more than pray, and of course help them out of a pinch if I can, either financially or emotionally. I intercede at night for the suffering children in the dumps, Gaza and around the world. It’s our responsibility.
Lamentations 2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
But we all, as Christians, do have one even greater responsibility. We are the watchmen on the walls of defense. We are to warn people to repent and be saved from the coming judgement. Twice this is mentioned in the Bible. Once in Isaiah and here in Ezekiel. Acually the whole Bible tells us that we are responsible for the souls of others. Don’t sleep while on watch. In the Army, during guard duty in a field of combat, you could be executed if you’re caught sleeping on watch. Christians, it’s our duty to not sleep right now.
Ezekiel 3:17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

Plans for 2024
This year, in January, we had the 2nd Pastors Conference. ? This Pastor Steve encouraged 190 instead of 80. ?It more than doubled!!!
School got off to a great start.
Additional work that was not expected this year is having to complete paperwork for us to remain in Nicaragua changed as of 2 weeks ago. ?We are now under the department of the interior, so all paperwork has to be redone. This is very costly and time consuming and fines are inevitable, just the way it is set up. ? Cost of doing business. ? Labor intensive! ?It’s probably the work of five full time secretaries accountants and lawyers to keep up with it all, but Winnie and I are handling it best we can with a part time CPA and lawyer.
We estimate that this additional work will cost us approximately $5,700 ?- and fines will be close to $8,000 Painting and upkeep of the buildings is woefully lacking. ?Door knobs, hinges, windows, screens, circuit breakers, plumbing all wearing out. ?Our need to paint and perform needed building maintenance is approximately, $2500 ?Donations specific to this need are appreciated and a blessing to the ministry.
We’re also looking at expanding our borders. This year our president is visiting churches in the states visiting churches, seeking and raising financial support for our ministry and also looking for a place to have the container filled. ?
As I am military retired, I get one tax free container for household goods and another container for a car 9 years old or newer. ? The containers will be used for our old folks home and orphanage (down the road) and once the containers are emptied, to be converted to expand the school and hopefully to start the orphanage.
Along with working in our current activities to partner with other organizations and ministering to children and families in our community, these other activities mentioned above will be part of this years projects. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Needs For PureHeartChildren’sFund
1. I have a containter coming down, hopefully to Pastor Joe Paskewiches church in CC Connecticut. ?PHCF president, Jason Sparks if visiting him, and other churches, Lord Willing. PLEASE Email me at [email protected] for an exhaustive list of things we need for our container for many ministries down here and to start the orphanage and old folks home Lord willing.
2. We are looking for an american social media influencer IF YOU KNOW OF ONE LET ME KNOW. We need one who stays out of politics and has several million followers. ?We want him or her to follow us around for a few days to help us to raise awareness of PureHeartChildren’sFund
3. We are looking for a young USA lady to be our ′voice′ for our videos.

1. Our 2nd floor is finished, I put in a small above ground pool up there for now for baptisms, swimming classes (Nicas swim like rocks) and teams-visiters.
2. We can ship a car down and a container of household good free of import tax because I am here on a retirement residency. ?(Also, we’re a non-profit down here as well being an accredited 501c3 in the states). ?Donated vehicles, boats, motorcycles, golf carts may be written off for taxes at full blue book value. The first container is household goods is for the school, feedingcenter,orphanage and old folks home in the future. and another container is for a vehicle (free of import tax) or two, the 2nd one has to be a small pickup. ? 3. English class, Daily Bible studies, school and feeding centers are all going exceptionally well and growing exponentially.
4. ?We are also looking to buy two used containers that we will permanently own and will be shipped down here. ?We use them for construction once they are unloaded. ?Unloading the household goods can take months. I have already built a few buildings using containers, one is a 3 story radio station (long before container homes were ever popular).
(A) ?I get to bring in 1 container of household goods. Bunk beds, mess kits, mess hall items, food truck, furniture, lawn mower, dishwasher, desks, soccer and baseball team uniforms and balls, baseball team equipment, linen, sheets, pillows, linen, mattresses, (no used clothes except for new uniforms, medical scrubs, flip flops, crocks and sports shoes please), industrial kitchen stuff, electrical dishwasher, water heater (for washing dishes and showers or widowmakers for the american teams), window AC units, AC, UPS, computers, electronics, circuit breakers, above ground pool (for baptisms) school supplies. ?Arts and crafts. Office supplies. Hospital supplies. ?Baby, old folks, and surgery materials and equipment. ?Tools Etc.
(B) Another container to bring 2 vehicles, automatic trans (under 9 years old) Idealy, one van 9-10 passenger and one car or small pick up

3. FOR HOME VISITATIONS AND SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITIES TO PRODUCE RESULTS, FOR VISITORS AND STUDENTS TO OUR HOME TO GET SAVED. FOR THE FAMILIES AND PARENTS OF ALL THE PUREHEART WORKERS TO GET SAVED.
4. FOR OUR 2 FEEDING CENTERS AND THE TWO OTHER FEEDING CENTERS THAT WE HELP. FOR OUR SISTER FEEDING CENTER IN ISLAMBAD PAKISTAN. ?LOT’S OF RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION AND ATTACKS GOING ON THERE AS WELL.
5. FOR YOU, OUR FRIENDS, SHORT TERM TEAMS PRESENT, PAST AND IN THE FUTURE, PRAYER WARRIORS, DONORS AND SUPPORTERS.

GOVERNMENTAL PAPERWORK IS ALWAYS DIFFICULT, FRUSTRATING, AND EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING. ?WE JUST SPENT OVER 60 HOURS LAST EASTER VACATION WEEK, EVERYTHING WAS TRANSFERRED OVER TO THE DEPRTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, SO EVERYTHING IS CHANGED, AGAIN. WE EXPECT TO HAVE TO PAY FINES. AMONG OF WHICH IS FOR PERMISSION TO HAVE AN ORPHANAGE-OLDFOLKS HOME ON A SAME LOT IN THE MANAGUA
7. THE DELAY IS OK, BECAUSE WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THE LORD TO PROVIDE THE MONEY AND THE PERFECTLY CONTINUED RESOURCES FOR ALL THE FULL TIME STAFF, DOCTOR, NURSE, AIDES ETC THAT COME WITH A FARM OR LARGE LOT THAT HAS ROOM FOR AN ORPHANAGE, SPECIAL NEEDS CARE ?AND AN OLD FOLKS HOME ON IT, AS WELL AS THE PROPERTY ITSELF. EVEN WITH JUST AN ORPHANAGE HERE, OUR STAFF WILL ALMOST HAVE TO DOUBLE IN SIZE PER NICARAGUAN REGULATIONS, WITH AT LEAST ONE PHYSICAN.
8. FOR OUR OWN CHILDREN`S SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND SAFETY WHILE STUDYING IN THE STATES.

10. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM, THEY SHALL PROSPER THAT LOVE YOU. ?PRAY FOR THE ?KIDS HELD HOSTAGE, THEIR FAMILIES, FOR THE INNOCENTS IN GAZA, UKRAINE, RUSSIA AND ALL FAMILIES IN MOURNING AROUND THE WORLD.
