Response to Parliamentary Privilege Abuse by senator Khadijah Ameen
The time is now to do something about that Khadijah. You told me at a meeting in Diego Martin some time ago, that when a Parliament Term has ended, no abuse of Parliament Privilege can be raised at any future Parliament Term. Can the UNC prepare a design for legislation that will make Parliamentarians responsible for their abuse of Parliamentary Privilege for the rest of their lives, when and if the abuse is proved to be an Abuse of Parliamentary Privilege after the end of any and all Parliament Terms. This when a law, will make sure that policy makers at Government level, take all precautions to manage the people's business, with an abundant of caution. All the money they accumulate and all the property the own, then becomes liable to be forfeited by the State by due process of law. That law, if and when introduced by the UNC either as a Private Motion now or the promise to so do in a new Government, is definitely one of the ways forward in any Recovery Process. Keep up your good work. With 10 million every month to all Corporations to manage COVID 19 hardships, a lot can be achieved and most importantly, all the necessary databases can be finalized for any future hardships, be it man made or God made.
