Response to Global Financial Worries
As to recent economic studies of next year, 2020, 2.9% global growth and concerns with respect to climate change, technological, government investment, debate usually involves stock market volatility concerns, macro-economic concerns and government monetary and fiscal policy.
NONE of these concerns will be improved either in the near term or the long term, from a cynical/skeptical viewpoint. What is the retail investor to do NOW and to prepare for a bear market/recession scenario at best?
No easy answers of the hold and do not worry type. Fundamental and technical analyses in appropriate combination must be applied to monitor a portfolio that is basically conservative in ROI expectations, regardless of its value and/or the age of the account holder.
"Don't be greedy and don't use debt to fund investment." - Restivo. Speculation and more aggressive investment allocation must be conditionally deployed after debt is eliminated.
No need to wait decades for anything to improve or turn around, but take positive defensive financial action NOW, even incrementally.
The end is nowhere near and individuals have the most control over their finances during good and challenging economic times.
