Respect...

Dear All,
They say respect’s a given thing,
A natural tide, a song to sing,
But some lose track of what it means,
Caught in a world of shattered dreams.
Words once sacred are now tossed aside,
Empty promises, hollow pride.
Eyes avert, and heads don’t turn,
As bridges are built are left to burn.
They act as though the world’s their own,
But never look at what they’ve sown.
Forget the hands that helped them rise,
Forget the bonds, the silent ties.
So here we stand, alone but whole,
Holding pieces of a wounded soul.
We learn that kindness isn’t weak,
And strength in silence speaks uniquely.
For when respect is left to die,
We guard our worth, we don’t comply.
And though they scorn, we choose to grow,
Our worth is something they’ll never know.
Respect Everyone Equally…
God Bless Us All…
