Our hearts go out to the Los Angeles community affected by the devastating wildfires. During this difficult time, we stand together in support of those who have lost homes, been displaced, or are facing uncertainty.
We have curated a few resources from the NationSwell membership community and beyond for those looking to offer support or ready their own preparedness efforts.
Fundraising
The LAFD Foundation is actively seeking funds to equip LAFD members battling wildfires with equipment and supplies.
The foundation is working with local fire agencies and community organizations to support residents impacted by the blazes.
LCF is deploying their California Wildfire Relief Fund to provide urgent support to victims of the Los Angeles area fires.
DirectRelief
Working with the two Koreatown YMCA locations to hand out free N95 masks to residents affected by the harmful smoke.
Providing critical items, including diapers, food, formula and hygiene products for children and families who have lost their homes to the fires.
The organization has taken in over 100 animals, and are continuing to take in animals for emergency boarding.
GoFundMe has created a centralized online hub housing all verified fundraising pages related to the wildfires.
Instacart Groceries
You can now donate groceries and supplies directly to LA-based organizations through Instacart. They are partnering with local organizations to deliver essential items directly to impacted communities, ensuring quick and efficient support to those who need it most
Help support families impacted by the LA fires. Bobbie is donating 1,000 cans to grassroots relief efforts and additionally, covering the feeding journeys of LA families who've lost their homes.
Resources
The American Red Cross is working with partners in Southern California to offer shelter, relief supplies, health services, and more.
Wildfire Relief Accommodations
A list of Los Angeles-area properties are offering relief accommodations for those displaced by the ongoing wildfires.
Airbnb Housing
Airbnb.org, in collaboration with 211 LA , is offering free temporary housing for residents displaced or forced to evacuate due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is working with government agencies, nonprofit and faith-based partners and others to respond to the fires throughout Los Angeles County.
WCK is distributing free hot meals to first responders and the public at various locations in Southern California in response to the wildfires.
Mutual Aid LA
The MALAN team is maintaining a list of resources available to those affected by the fires
LA County Emergency Resources
Updated to view real time evacuation, shelter, and other information.
Free Ride Share
Riders can redeem a free Uber ride up to $40 by applying the promo code “WILDFIRE25” in the Wallet section of their Uber app.
Lyft riders in need can use the code CAFIRERELIEF25, valid for 2 rides up to $25 each ($50 total) for 7,000 riders from now until 1/15 at 11:59 p.m.
U-Haul is opening its facilities across Southern California for 30 days of free self-storage to victims. View participating centers in the link below:
