Resource Guide for those Affected by the Los Angeles County Wildfires

At Private Service Alliance, our hearts are with the hundreds of thousands of people affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County. Many of our colleagues and their families are enduring unimaginable challenges, and we want you to know that we stand in solidarity with you. To help those impacted, we have compiled a resource guide to provide access to essential information and support during this difficult time.

Evacuation Guidelines and Essentials

If you are in an area under evacuation orders, prioritize your safety and the safety of your loved ones. Follow these evacuation guidelines:

Prepare a “go bag” with the following items:

For Children:

  • Diapers, formula, bottles, and wipes
  • Favorite comfort items (blanket, toy)
  • Copies of important documents (birth certificate, immunization records)

For Elderly Individuals:

  • Prescriptions and medical equipment (e.g., walkers, oxygen tanks)
  • Emergency contacts and medical information
  • Sturdy footwear and personal hygiene items

For Pets:

  • Food, water, and bowls
  • Leashes, carriers, and bedding
  • Vaccination records and identification tags

Federal Response & Assistance

President Biden has issued a Major Disaster Declaration for the Los Angeles County wildfires, enabling residents and businesses in evacuation zones to access immediate and long-term federal relief.

How to Apply for Assistance

Available Relief Programs

For Residents and Homeowners:

  • Temporary Displacement Assistance: Coverage for hotel costs for up to two weeks.
  • Essential Personal Items: Financial assistance of up to $770 for critical needs.
  • Direct Grants: Support for medical bills, car repairs, and other urgent expenses.

For Businesses and Property Owners:

Housing for People and Pets:

  • Airbnb Partnership with 211 LA: Providing free temporary housing for displaced residents.

  • Displacement from your home due to the fires
  • Residency in an evacuation zone
  • Active Airbnb account or ability to create one
  • Must be 18 years or older Submit your information via this form. Space is limited and submission does not guarantee placement.
