Resolution....

Resolution....

As we step into a new year 2025, let’s talk about resolutions. You know, those promises we make to ourselves, full of excitement and hope, only to forget about them a few weeks later. But hey, it’s the thought that counts, right ???

Resolution: The Exciting Start

Every resolution begins with a burst of energy??. It’s like starring in your own movie trailer—dramatic music, inspiring voiceover, and you’re convinced this year will be different. You’ll go to the gym, learn a new skill, and save money. Fast forward to February, and the only thing you’ve mastered is how to avoid your gym trainer at the grocery store ??.

Following Resolutions: The Tough Part

The hard part isn’t making resolutions; it’s sticking to them??. Life gets in the way, and soon your big plans turn into “maybe next year” ideas. Like my goal to eat healthier—it started great with salads and smoothies, but somehow WADA Pav took over. In my defence, Wada Pav is basically a vegetable??, right?

Why We Keep Trying

Even when we don’t stick to them, resolutions are still worth making??. They’re a sign of hope, a way to say, “I’ll try to be better.” It’s not about being perfect—it’s about making an effort. Even if the only change you make is switching from regular to diet soda, that’s still progress!

Easy Resolutions to Try :-)

Tired of making big promises you can’t keep? Try these desi-style ones:

  1. Drink More (Water): Make it nimbu paani or chai. Hydration with flavor is the way to go.
  2. Move More: Take an extra round to check if the neighbors’ mango tree has ripe fruit. Bonus points if you bring some home.
  3. Learn Something New: Ask your dadi how she remembers all the family gossip without writing it down??. That’s real brain training.
  4. Be Kinder:Smile at strangers in the elevator, help someone carry their heavy groceries, or just let someone else go first at the ATM—even if they’re withdrawing ?100 coins ??.

The Bottom Line

Resolutions aren’t about being perfect??. They’re about having fun??, trying something new, and laughing at the mess along the way. So here’s to 2025: a year of little wins, funny mistakes, and maybe a few dreams coming true. And if it doesn’t all work out? There’s always next year??. Cheers! & Happy New Year 2025….
