Resolute- 2017!

Resolute- 2017!

Okay, if you’re like me you had an ‘interesting’ year and ate a bit too much over the last few weeks. Yummy!

Now it’s time to think about those nagging resolutions we make on December 31st with the hope of applying some or most of them.

Depending on the statistic you look at, there appears to be a small percentage of us who actually last 12 months holding on to promises we made to ourselves.

But wait-there’s hope!

Our lives are filled with the expected and the not so expected every day. STUFF happens constantly that can knock you off course for an hour, a day, a week and more. So, this is…

My share for you.

I began to notice that long, drawn out New Year’s resolutions that I made rarely saw their way past, umm…March! I got pissed, yes, pissed that I could not last into summer or fall with promises that nobody forced me to make in the first place!

Change of mind set.

For the last five years I’ve narrowed my resolution to one sentence only.

Clear, concise and much easier to remember and apply!

The last two years have been -- “Let it go.” Three words with a deep meaning for me and something I wanted to be better at.

Before that it was -- “Be better.” Damn, I could name several examples where I succeeded at this one and some where I fell short.

Look, 2017 is going to be fun, challenging and full of interesting events.

Got something(s) you want to improve on or get rid of?

Pick 1-2 and make it/them easy to apply and remember. I’m confident that you’ll find, as I have, that simple works really well for 12 months. Plus, you get the satisfaction of watching something important to you change right before your eyes.

Happy New and Fun Year!

Oh yeah...What are your resolutions for 2017?
