The Resilient Pursuit
Navigating Life's Challenges on the Path to Purpose
May 28th, 2023
Hello Purpose Seekers!
I hope your weekend went well, mine was okay, and somehow I am praying May is ending with a lot of my troubles. I had malaria this week, I kept taking meds, I had a fever, and my eyes hurt, but beneath it all I am proud I didn’t deliver work that was below standard I am proud.
I rested, I am proud I binged watched movies, and I like that I am getting my movie zeal back, lost it for a while. I can’t wait to get the reading zeal back, That would work when I get my new glasses, you see I have broken three glasses and now I am glassless.?
Any who, I am excited to continue our exploration of purpose and delve into the crucial role that resilience plays in our journey of discovery. If there’s one thing I am known for it is my ability to go through hell and come out maintaining my softness, in short, I become even more soft on myself because self-compassion is everything.
I become kinder to myself as I live every day and keep walking, just a step in front of the other. That is resilience, to me and I know the role it plays in your survival and not choosing to become a part of Earth’s recently most deleted list.?
Editor's Note: Embracing Resilience
Resilience is the inner strength that empowers us to bounce back from adversity, learn from our failures, and continue pursuing our purpose despite setbacks. It is the steadfast determination to stand strong in the face of obstacles and setbacks, knowing that they are integral parts of our growth and development.
The road to purpose isn’t easy, but I believe with resilience, you don’t give up till you are there, for faith comes in believing the word. This is not just the word of God alone. You are your word, your daily shrine where you should worship with belief and courage, and if you do not believe in yourself first if you do not hope first, how will you get your purpose? Believing is a hard task. Put in work and ace that task first.
Understanding Resilience: You have to understand what being resilient means there’s no way you can be resilient. For me it is all or nothing until I get everything I want, I created a list of the seven things I want the most from life.
I don’t care how long it takes I must get it. I can be a very dogged person if I need to. And when I am that, I know that the impossible is nothing. Resilience is linked to our ability to navigate challenges, adapt to change, and maintain a positive mindset on the path to purpose.?
The Relationship between Resilience and Purpose:?
Resilience and purpose are interconnected. It fuels our pursuit of purpose, helping us to overcome setbacks, persevere in the face of adversity, and stay committed to our life’s mission or goal.?

Purpose enhances resilience: They work hand in hand. When you persist in something and at the end of the day you get it. It gives you this sense of purpose. Building Resilience?
Resilience can be cultivated and strengthened. Two things are my tips on how to cultivate and strengthen resilience.?First, learn how to develop emotional agility, I move on from things fast, a job loss, a relationship, a friendship, but it doesn’t mean it didn’t matter to me. It mattered until it didn’t.
And I do not have the reserve to cry or whine. I am a fragile being and so I treat myself as such, giving sadness, disappointments, anger, loss, and pain very little time in my life. Second, I cultivate self-compassion and foster a growth mindset to navigate the ups and downs of life.?
Find Resilient Role Models: Read up on individuals who exemplify resilience in the pursuit of their purpose and learn. Their stories will inspire and empower you to tap into your inner resilience and keep moving forward, even when faced with adversity.
Recommended Resources: I am big on curating a selection of books, articles, podcasts, or any resources that explore the topics of resilience and the non-linear path to purpose. Expand your knowledge and gain practical insights from experts in the field.
Remember, resilience is not about avoiding challenges, but about embracing them as opportunities for growth. It’s training for your mind, because sometimes even when our bodies fail like when we are sick, but our minds can still go on to become stronger and more equipped to fulfill our purpose.
In the next post, I shall talk about the transformative power of gratitude and its role in nurturing resilience and purpose.
Stay resilient and keep pursuing your purpose!
With unwavering determination,
