?? Resilience in Action: Embracing Setbacks and Celebrating Successes ??

As I reflect on recent events post my Nanyang Fellow MBA journey, I'm reminded of the importance of resilience in both professional and personal growth.

Recently, I faced a setback when a grant application to the Tanoto Foundation, for which I was the Principal Investigator, was not successful. It's a responsibility I bear fully, and while it was disappointing, it provided valuable lessons in perseverance and humility.

On a brighter note, I'm thrilled to share a wonderful success involving my NTU students. They have just completed a significant project on the return on investment of workplace health interventions. Their hard work and dedication have paid off, and we're gearing up to draft a paper on their findings. I'm particularly proud that one of our students has stepped up to be the first author, showcasing the leadership and initiative we strive to foster.

Special thanks to Ryan Hong for making this virtual internship possible and hope to mentor more students.

Moreover, I'm excited to announce that I'll be starting a new chapter in my career as an adjunct lecturer soon—stay tuned for more details!

This juxtaposition of failure and success brings to light a crucial question: If failures are more likely than successes, are we adequately preparing our students to be resilient and embrace failures as part of the learning process?

Let's continue to inspire resilience and celebrate every step of our journey, setbacks included, as each experience enriches our path and who we become.
