I'm writing this in response to Jared Kushner's statement about us finishing this once and for all, and a few others in Hebrew below.

Now let's be clear - it's one thing to be happy about destroying our enemies. Nasrallah was a very "loyal" enemy of ours so there is much to be happy about. He caused us so many problems over the years. His whole attitude toward Israel - whether ideological, or with regard to security of course - he was a prime example of how an enemy of Israel behaves. But we shouldn't be proud. This is not a point of pride for the country or the citizens of Israel.

There are things in motion that can shift this either way - it all depends on us as per usual. We don't really like to hear it, but that's the case. The shift will be here in the Middle East but will have repercussions for the rest of the world.

The whole world will have to get on board with dealing with these Islamic fundamentalists. And how we move all this forward is a very critical issue. The opportunity is here because the evil parts of their regime have been weakened, and this gives us a window of opportunity to act.

And though it may sound slightly na?ve, the main thing we can do is strengthen the spirit of the nation.

The more we stand strong together above all our different opinions and political stances, we need to remember that we have a common goal as the nation of Israel living in the land of Israel. We have a rich heritage and a common history, and share a common fate. It's not really verified yet or that clear to everyone, but it exists inside each and every person in Israel. Even those full of hate and destruction, and those all the way over on the extreme right.

We all carry this inner spark of our Jewish / Israeli heritage - there's no denying it. And now is the time to strengthen it. Because the stronger the nation becomes and the more we stand up for ourselves - as in insisting on our common right to exist here on this land together - the more this will strengthen our leaders (political and others), and give them the ability to do great things. When we stand strong against our enemies good things happen.

Right now everyone needs to make an effort to not miss this opportunity that's been created. Because if we don't take advantage of it together as a people and a country - this opportunity will disappear down the drain. Those evil forces will get strong again, and once again we'll find ourselves face to face with them.

The alternative, and this is what I hope will happen: our nation will get stronger by applying its own true heritage as the Jewish nation living in the Land of Israel. Our right to exist here is not geographic or about the land. It's also not a political matter. It's historic.

This is a historic opportunity for a new beginning, and to reshape the Middle East. And this coincides perfectly with the amazing atmosphere in Israel right before the high holidays.

I'll take this opportunity to wish all of Israel and Jews everywhere a really good and successful year for all - no exceptions! I want to emphasize that again - a good year for ALL the people of Israel. Even though we may appear at times to be in extreme situations of hate and rejection, it's a known part of our heritage. We'll try to learn to use it properly. Meaning as long as all the differences of opinion can be tied to a single goal - we'll find the right path forward together. In a good and positive way.

I personally don't know if I agree about the jail part - maybe kicked into exile. But hopefully they will see how wrong they were, and turn a new leaf in time for Rosh Hashana. Then all will be forgiven and we can all unite.
