Resetting the workflow in D365FO when workflow has unrecoverable status

Sometimes workflows can end up in the ‘unrecoverable’ status in D365FO. Problem is that you can not recall all workflows in that status. So in earlier versions I saw some codes to fix these kind of things at the background, to be able to work with the transaction again.
In D365FO Microsoft created features for transactions to reset these workflows. For General Ledger and Accounts Payable features are already mandatory, but now also for Free text invoices a feature is available that you can enable:
With this option also the unrecoverable workflows for free text invoices can be recalled to start the workflow process again from the beginning:

7 个月Nice post Hylke. It's good to know about these features. It looks like if the features are enabled, it simply enables the 'Recall' button on qualified WF Instances (in your screenshot, free text & vendor invoices). Have I got that right? Do you know if there are Features (or tips) that can help with Unrecoverable WF Instances for other documents, such as Project Quotes? I would be curious as it's a use-case I encounter from time to time. Can you share any rough description of the codes you saw to fix this topic in earlier versions? I suppose that would be an SQL script written by a developer to directly modify records in the DB. It's always interesting to hear about different ways to solve a problem in Dynamics. Kind Regards Edison

1 年Hello, I'm currently experiencing this (Recall button unavailable) Have you encounter this before?
