Reset Replay

We all live alone in our minds forever

Don't believe me then talk to the voice in ur head that's so clever

Yet we are lost at the thought of isolation

Cause maybe it is the heart that is yearning for companionship

Could be parents, sibling or partner

We do want to have someone to share our banter

We all feel the fear somewhere deep inside our gut

A loss of control of a unpredictable consequence or result

And all we need then is someone dear

Without judgement to just wrap the arm around the shoulder

We all know the power of let go

Yet we love to hold on to the flow

This may be nature's way to set it right

To all that we seem to be losing sight

While we divide ourselves by boundaries

Yet today we are connected with the same fate and quandaries

While we gather all the riches

Yet they seem as worthless as the ditches

While we pray and follow different religions

Yet all of them are only pleading for compassion

Cause while we were busy building the strongest weapons

We today need our doctors instead of the generals and nurses instead of the soldiers

So before this nightmare is over

Let's promise that we won't go back to the same world again

Let this Virus corrupt all the fallacies that defined our normal

And lets then create a new norm a little less formal

Instead of what you do let's focus on who you Be

Instead of expecting from others let's start to define Me

Instead of bright lines to separate work and home let's blur them to be one Life

Instead of juggling and managing time let's learn to manage Ourselves

Instead of the rat race let's all define our purpose of Living

Instead of being religious let's be spiritual and bow to the super power that Holds us all

Instead of building walls let's create Communities

Instead of haves and have-not let's build our support systems with Respect

Cause when we heal the world we will heal ourselves and may the scars of today be the reminders of our past!
