Resemblance Between Emotional Blockage and a Turtle!
We experience emotional blocks when our thoughts and feelings become stuck. It's like a turtle without a shell. We act similarly to a terrified turtle by withdrawing inside when we are overcome by intense feelings or the pain of external events.
Like a turtle's shell, emotional barriers can harden and become an impassable roadblock to feeling and connecting with others.
An alternative use for a turtle's shell is as a secure cell. The turtle is unable to leave its shell and discover the world around it. Similar to how emotional development is inhibited by mental obstacles. It makes it hard to connect with others, leads us to withdraw and repress our feelings, and halts any progressive momentum.
Like a turtle breaking from its shell to soak in the sun's warmth, we?may be able to get over our difficulties. The barriers we've built around our emotions can be shattered via self-awareness and communication.
