It Requires Teamwork!

Growing up in Italy, some of my fondest memories happened in the summer. What a time summer was! Warm weather, no school, no responsibilities, just days upon days of carefree time to be with my friends and family. I suspect that most of us have amazing memories from our childhood summers. Those were the days.?

You might even find yourself daydreaming about them from time to time… if you have any spare time that is.?

Of course, now that we are adults (especially those of us with children of our own), it feels like we have nothing but responsibilities! The beginning of summer not only brings warm weather but a ton of logistical challenges that often stretch our ability to complete our work and care for our children at the same time.?

For me, the definition of stress is giving everything you have to your work or business and providing physically and mentally stimulating activities for your kids while also taking care of their day to day needs. I’m not sure I could do this on my own and retain my sanity…?

This is where being part of a TEAM makes all the difference in the world! My summer team consists of my older daughters, myself, my husband, nonna and some close friends with children the same age as my younger kids. When my children aren’t with me, I still KNOW that they are being cared for by someone who loves them and cares about them almost as much as I do.?

If I had to do it all by myself, I’d be a basket case and my summer would be full of stress. I have a ton of respect for working parents who don’t have their own team. God bless you!?
