Requirements for nitrogen gas in heat treatment industry

The heat treatment industry is the industry that uses industrial gases most frequently. There are the following gas consumption methods:

Nitrogen gas; Mixed gas of nitrogen and hydrogen; Mixed gas of nitrogen and carbon monoxide; Mixed gas of nitrogen and carbon dioxide; Ammonia?gas; Methanol cracking gas.

Only the requirements for nitrogen in the heat treatment industry are discussed here:

1. Purity requirements: Nitrogen gas with a purity of 99.99%~99.9995% is generally required, so the purity requirements are relatively high.

2. Pressure requirements: The pressure of nitrogen is generally low, and the outlet of the nitrogen generator is generally 0.2Mpa. The customer also needs to decompress to a lower pressure before entering the heat treatment furnace.

3. Dew point requirements: general dew point requirements are (-) 40°C ~ (-) 70°C

4. Flow rate requirements: Since the gas used in the heat treatment furnace has peaks and valleys, the maximum gas consumption must be considered for configuration. Generally, in order to save the investment cost of equipment, it is necessary to consider reducing the design output of the nitrogen generator, and use the nitrogen storage tank to make up for the remaining gas with insufficient peaks.
