ETL Developer Job Duties and Responsibilities Designing and create the data warehouse and all related extraction, transformation and load of data functions. After the groundwork has been laid, ETL developers must test their designs to ensure the system runs smoothly. ETL Developers must be experts at taking a big-picture view of a company's data situation. ETL Developers must have advanced data modelling skills, which includes the ability to read, analyze and digest what the stakeholders want to accomplish with their data, and design the best possible ETL process around those goals. Database designs take on many forms, including star and snowflake schemas. Skills Experience in design, development, testing and migrating code to various environments. Good in defining standards, guidelines and in implementing the best practices. Exposure to Agile scrum based development methodologies. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related field preferred. Level I - Junior: 1-3 years
