Dear Friends,
I am authoring a high impact publication on the actual implementation of big data in healthcare, looking at analytics-based tools that were put into daily practice in scale (not a small-scale set of pilots) and has a measurable impact on patients health and wellbeing. This paper was commissioned by a high impact medical journal and a key global policy organization, and to be presented in a large decision-maker conference later this year.
I am looking to include a handful selection of prominent examples of such successful implementations. Those of you who know of case studies that fulfil these very harsh requisites (big-data / analytics, in daily practice, in scale - not pilots or small studies, measurable clinically meaningful impact on health) - please let me know.

8 年Ran, I have a case where we linked various databases to create an epidemiological picture for diabetes. Alas there is no modelling or prediction involved but simply the generation of new descriptive stats through linkage of existing administrative data sources. These stats then allowed the creation of a diabetes strategy. We have also carried out simple predictions based simply on If such a simple example is good enough for you, let me know.
