The Republicans have Complete Control of DC: Will it actually mean anything after what Joe Biden just did?
One thing Democrats worry about the most is the notion that the Republicans might one day control the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives. This keeps them up at night, and going to Starbucks for large Iced Coffees. In other words, it’s their worst nightmare...and it happened.
The 2024 presidential election was a bizarre one to say the least. The Democrats were so scared to let their candidate, Kamala Harris speak in public, they did all they could to keep her away from the media at first.
Apparently they forgot the media was their ally, and even though their candidate was a known figure, she was, and still is abysmal at public speaking. This strategy appeared sound at first, but as Donald Trump, their opponent blazed a trail in front of the media’s cameras, the Democrats soon learned how flawed their strategy was. Make no mistake, Trump is no friend of the media and the feelings are mutual. What Trump is the master of however, is proving the media’s role as useful idiots.
What the Democrats failed to see as they attempted to rid America of Donald Trump with bogus charges and court trials, is that the American voters, regardless of gender or race, were beyond tired of the radicals in the Democrat party.
Even some calmer Democrats think the same way, and it does make one wonder if an of these Democrats quietly voted for Trump. Granted, there are many “Blue No Matter Who” voters in the Democratic party, but there are limits to what voters will tolerate.
However, as exciting as it is that the Republicans have total control of DC, we still have to keep in mind there are plenty of Republican In Name Only [RINOs] and Neo-Cons in Congress. This could prove challenging for Trump and the REAL Republicans in Congress.
Trump named 27 year old Karoline Leavitt as his Press Secretary. Leavitt holds a BA in Communications and Political Science, and is no stranger to speaking out politically. She isn’t afraid of the mainstream media either, and doesn’t hesitate in calling out their bias. [1] Plus, I seriously doubt Leavitt would shy away from calling out RINO and Neo-Con BS either.
Again, these appear to be jubilant times ahead, and we who voted Republican could crack open the champagne if we wanted...but these are dangerous times too, and Joe Biden just proved that.
During a November 17th visit to the Rain Forest just outside Rio de Janeiro to announce a multi-million dollar program to reforest the Amazon, Biden gave the Ukraine “limited” permission to use American made, long-range, ATACMS missiles against Russian targets in Russia.[2]
The ATACMS missile might not be Nuclear, but it is quite devastating, and it’s safe to say there may be mass casualties as a result of their use. Whether or not any of those casualties are non-combatants remains to be seen, but giving the Ukrainians this kind of permission is like giving your teen child your credit card and your Amazon.com login details.
Just to give you an idea of what Joe Biden just gave the Ukrainians the power to use. I linked the details of these missiles so you can see for yourselves what Russia is in for. [3] US soldiers are experts with these missiles, and now they’ll be in the hands of Ukrainian farmers and shop keepers. Well, I don’t know that for sure, but Ukrainian soldiers are not as trained and skilled as American ones.
Remember what I said in a previous column on how Joe Biden is still president, and thus, still has all the power that comes with it. Power that could be deleterious for the globe, not just America. Biden just proved me right on Sunday, and hopefully this doesn’t lead to WWIII.
From what was reported, Biden made the announcement, took no questions, and then simply wandered off into the Rain Forest. Whether or not anyone followed Biden to make sure he didn’t get lost wasn’t reported, but I wonder if the idea of just letting him roam deeper into the forest crossed anyone’s mind.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wasted no time in issuing a marginally veiled threat to Russia. Stating “Strikes are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. Missiles will speak for themselves. They certainly will.”
Russian President, Vladimir Putin had a few things to say in response to Zelenskyy’s threats, and he wasn’t shy about how he really felt either. Putin even openly stated he wasn’t afraid to use Nuclear weapons, “...Russia reserves the right to use Nuclear weapons in case of aggression. Including if the enemy using conventional weapons poses a critical threat.”
Putin’s threats appeared to be directed at more than just the Ukraine as he seemed to allude to perceiving any country that aided and abetted the Ukraine in any way with aggression against Russia as clear and present enemies to Russia.
So even though come January America will be led totally by Republicans, it’s a wonder if the world will make it to January. Joe Biden may have started WWIII, and we all know that the use of Nukes by Russia initially is no longer out of the question.
